Yes, all of our Reed’s ginger beers are gluten free.

Yes, all of our Reed’s ginger beers are certified Kosher by the Orthodox Union.

All of our Reed’s ginger beers are Non GMO Project Verified. Look for the butterfly!

Reed’s Zero Sugar Ginger Beers are vegan. ​ Reed’s Ginger Beers contain honey therefore would not be considered vegan.

Yes, our aluminum cans are lined with a BPA -Ni lining.

All of our full sugar Reed’s ginger beers in glass bottles have a two year shelf life from the date of production. Our zero sugar line has a shelf life of 18 months Expiration codes can be found on the neck or the shoulder printed directly on the glass bottle and not on the label.

All of our Reed’s ginger beers in aluminum cans have a one year shelf life from the date of production. Expiration codes can be found on the bottom of the can.

The Best By date starts with BB, followed by the 2 digit month, date and year, BB: 122520 would be best by December 25th, 2020. The numbers that follow that code are a time stamp/production code.

All of our glass bottle caps are twist off. ​ Using a bottle opener could potentially damage and chip the mouth of the bottle.

Reed’s ginger beers can be stored and consumed at room temperature however we recommend drinking your ginger beers at a chilled temperature.

Our products do not contain any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

The natural mushroom extract that is used to protect the quality of our beverages is obtained from the edible mushroom Sweet Osmanthus Ear. This non genetically modified, wild-type strain of mushroom is extracted without chemical modification. This flavorless and odorless extract naturally protects the freshness of our beverages. You won’t even know it’s in there!

No, our products do not contain alcohol.

Our Ginger Beers use pure cane sugar, honey and fruit juices from concentrate. Our Zero Sugar Ginger Beers use a proprietary natural sweetener blend of Erythritol, Stevia and Monk Fruit. ​ This blend creates a full-sugar taste, without the sugar!

Erythritol is a sugar substitute also referred to as a sugar alcohol. ​ Sugar alcohols are counted as carbohydrates in the nutrition label however; their caloric effect on the body is lower than that of a normal carb which is why it has zero calories.

No but Reed’s ZERO Sugar products use Erythritol as a sweetner. ​ Erythritol is produced by fermentation from a simple sugar derived from corn, called dextrose.

All of our natural flavors are considered natural and plant-based. For proprietary reasons, we don’t list all the plant extracts, natural oils and essences we blend in our beverages.

The sediment in our ginger beer products is naturally occurring ginger pulp as a result of the natural ginger and brewing process. ​ We use real ginger in our formulas and lots of it. ​ Levels of ginger pulp can vary from batch to batch.

The amount of ginger we use in our formulas is proprietary. We offer 3 distinct levels of ginger in our ginger beers so you’re sure to find one that suits you. ​ In addition to our Original formula, we offer Extra with 2x the ginger than in our Original and Strongest with 3x the ginger than in the Original.

None of our ginger beers contain caffeine.

We source our ginger sustainably from the Peruvian Amazon – a bold strain found nowhere else.

Although our ginger is Peruvian and our traditional recipe style is Jamaican, our ginger beers are made in the USA.

Reed’s ginger chews and crystallized ginger have a two year shelf life. ​ We print either a julian date batch code or a Best By date. ​ The best by date starts with ‘BB’ and then followed by the month/day/year that the candy is fresh until.

If the code doesn’t begin with ‘BB’, then it’s a batch code representing the day and year the candy was made. ​ The first three numbers are the day of the year and the next two are the year. ​ For example, if the batch code is 12320 then the candy was produced on the 123rd day of 2020 and would be fresh for two years from that date, fresh until the 123rd day of 2022.

For proprietary reasons, we don’t list the amount of ginger we use in our products. ​ We are confident you’ll find that Reed’s ginger chews and crystallized ginger have the right amount of bite.

Ginger chews are individually wrapped chewy candy made with cane sugar, organic ginger root and tapioca starch. ​ The crystallized ginger is made with diced baby ginger root steeped in pots of raw cane syrup. ​ After several days, the sticky morsels are removed and given time to crystallize.

Yes, our plastic shot bottles are recyclable with other plastics.

We use organic ginger in our Ginger Chews, however these have not been certified organic.

Also referred to as tapioca flour. ​ Tapioca starch adds structure to gluten free baking. ​ It also helps give our ginger chews a nice chewy texture.
